Pastor Dettra R. Hicks is the founder and senior pastor of True Praise Spiritual Church. Pastor Hicks has been preaching the gospel for over 15 years.  True Praise Spiritual Church is blossoming into something powerful under the leadership of Pastor Hicks.

Pastor Hicks is truly anointed and appointed by God. She preaches and teaches under the power of the Holy Spirit. The truth of what thus said the Lord is what comes forth from the pulpit.

She is a woman of one husband of 29 years and three sons which all of them serve God. She has one daughter-in-law of whom the eldest child is married to and they share two children together.  She serves God’s people with a true servant’s heart and no one is discriminated against. She has great leadership qualities and conducts herself in such a Christ-like manner. She is a great counselor, preacher, teacher, prayer warrior, prophetess, and has such a wonderful sense of humor. Pastor Hicks truly cares about where your soul is going. She seems to never tire, working day and night answering calls to those in need of spiritual guidance.

True Praise Spiritual Church is a non-denominational church founded by Pastor Dettra R. Hicks May 2005. True Praise Spiritual Church started with humble beginnings holding its first services at the Comfort Inn conference room in Forest Hill, Texas. From the unification of obedient spirits of Pastor Dettra Hicks and the Church Administrator Deacon Joe Hicks; True Praise Spiritual Church moved to its first building in 2006 located at 5691 Westcreek Dr., Fort Worth, TX. God kept on extending his blessings upon True Praise and in May 2010, True Praise once again moved to its currently location 440 Shelby Road, Everman, TX.  Pastor Dettra Hicks has started a fervor of people seeking the truth about the Kingdom of God. She brings the word with holy boldness that is uncanny. True Praise Spiritual Church is seeking further outreach to the lost souls in the world. We have ministries that dispatch outside the four walls of the church to help spread the word of God whether we’re feeding the homeless, helping families in need, visiting the incarcerated, visiting the sick, or go wherever and do whatever the Spirit leads us to do. Our church cares about where your soul is going. Come worship with us, once you walk through the doors you won’t leave the same. We give all praises unto God for our new sanctuary that is to come.
